Spring 2008 Edition

Now is a Good Time to Review Regulations That May Affect Your Exhibit

As the time for MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2008 gets closer, it is important for exhibitors to review some of the show regulations pertaining to their exhibits. All of them can be found under “Terms and Conditions” in your “Application and Contract for Exhibit Space.”

The section on Exhibit Construction Guidelines bears particular attention. For example, the construction guidelines provide details on ceiling height limitations, which differ depending on the location of your exhibit on the floor. Exhibit Construction Guidelines also provides additional details about the maximum height allowed for an in-line booth, i.e. 10x20; or an island/peninsula booth which are 20x20 and larger. Exhibitors in linear booths cannot exceed 8'3" (2.5m) in height and are not permitted to use hanging signs. Exhibitors in island or peninsula booths cannot exceed 16'6" (5m) in height for exhibit structures. Hanging signs in island/peninsula booths are permitted and have unlimited height as does any equipment displayed.

Exhibitors occupying peninsula or island booth spaces must submit scale drawings of their exhibits—indicating the heights of exhibit components and equipment—to Hall-Erickson (show management) by July 30, 2008, for approval.

Refer to the Exhibit Design Approval page in your on-line manual for further details.
