MINExpo Welcome from NMA President Kraig R. Naasz
Every indicator points to this show being the biggest and best yet. Exhibit space sales have significantly outpaced previous shows. More than 85 percent of the half-million square feet of exhibit space has already been committed; and companies that serve the mining industry are excited about the significant number of new products that will be introduced at the show. We pledge to do everything we can to bring qualified buyers from around the world to the show. A measured 85 percent of the 30,000 attendees at the 2004 show had buying authority, and their average planned expenditure was $6.3 million. For good reason we call MINExpo "The World's Richest Deposit of Buyers." We will also facilitate your company's sales through our partnership with the Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program, and through the Matchmaker Program, which brings sellers and buyers together at the show. Educational seminars, led by some of the industry’s most qualified and experienced people, will tackle timely issues and will be an important reason why the mining industry’s professionals will gather at MINExpo. The Las Vegas Convention Center, from Sept. 22-24, 2008, definitely will be the place to be! I look forward to seeing you there.
