LVCC Has Rules & Regs To Review Before MINExpo® Begins

Not only does MINExpo® have rules and regulations that exhibitors must follow (see Exhibitor eNews, Spring 2008 edition), but the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) has its own policies that bear review. The weeks and months leading up to MINExpo are an ideal time to review the do’s and don’ts of working inside the LVCC—during show setup, during show days and during teardown. The good news is that all of that information is at your fingertips—online in the Exhibitor Manual.

Reviewing this material not only will be valuable to you—the exhibitor—but to contractors and display houses as well. That’s because several requirements such as fees, licenses and insurance certificates must be met before service contractors and display houses can provide services on LVCC property.

A quick online visit to the Las Vegas Convention Center Policies in the online Exhibitors Manual will answer all your questions. You can also get an update on restrictions affecting the use of halogen lighting, which if misused or poorly maintained can become hazardous. Further, you can get a rundown on all the fire and safety regulations which will keep you well within the state and local fire codes.

Also, don’t forget to reference the online list of Deadline Dates that includes deadlines for submitting information on an exhibitor appointed contractor (EAC), exhibit design approval and deadlines for ordering services and advance shipping.

A timely review of LVCC rules and regulations and deadline dates well before the show can mean fewer problems and obstacles at exhibit installation and teardown, and during the show as well.
