Markets for mining equipment, services and technologies increasingly have become international. Your company already may be selling to markets overseas, or that could be a market that you are targeting for the future.
MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2012 will have a distinct international flavor that will help you facilitate selling across the globe.
Because MINExpo® has been so successful attracting international attendees, and therefore for its potential for expanding U. S. exports, the U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC) again has selected the show to participate in its International Buyer Program.
This is important for U.S. mining industry companies who want to sell in the international marketplace.
In advance of the show, all MINExpo attendees—but particularly international attendees—can indicate specific areas of interest and products they want to check out during the show. A few weeks before the show, an email will be sent to attendees indicating the exhibitors that match their areas of interest and products checked during the registration process.
That’s where the International Business Center comes into play. The DOC representatives at the show can counsel international visitors at the IBC and arrange meetings with MINExpo exhibitors. In addition, the DOC representatives can counsel exhibitors on services available to U. S. companies who are new to exports or want to expand their export markets.
So, in a real sense, DOC representatives are matchmakers, putting buyers and sellers together in an environment conducive to doing business.
According to DOC, one of the important keys to success in this endeavor—for buyers and sellers—is having people at MINExpo who have decision-making authority.
During the coming months leading up to the show, Exhibitor eNews will publish the list of countries that have committed to send delegations to the show.
