International Attendees and Delegations Mean More Sales, Business Opportunities

The number of countries committed to sending delegations to MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2008 is growing. At latest count, 13 countries are recruiting delegations to attend the September 22-24 mega show in Las Vegas. That number is certain to grow in the final weeks leading up to the show.

For those companies who want to solidify their existing international sales, and for those companies that are trying to expand into international markets, the presence of foreign buyers and foreign delegations is important. They provide direct access to the markets that you want to develop.

And the strong international flavor of MINExpo is one reason why the U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC) again has selected MINExpo to participate in its International Buyer Program (IBP).

In advance of the show, MINExpo attendees—including international attendees—can indicate specific areas of interest and products they want to see while at the show. This is done as part of the registration process. Prior to arriving at the show, each attendee will receive a list of those exhibitors with the products that they want to see. Or attendees can check in at the International Business Center and get a list of those exhibitors whose products are of specific interest. The IBC will be staffed with DOC personnel who can counsel international visitors as well as U. S. companies new to the export market and assist in arranging meetings. Translators (French, German, Spanish, Russian and Chinese) will be on hand, meeting rooms will be available and attendees can pick up copies of the Export Directory, available on CD-Rom. In short, buyers and sellers are put together in an environment conducive to doing business.

Here are the countries which so far have indicated they are organizing delegations to MINExpo:

  • Brazil
  • Canada
  • China
  • Ecuador
  • Ghana
  • India
  • Mexico
  • Mongolia
  • Nigeria
