Be Sure to Hit Your Target For MINExpo® Shipments

The installation of MINExpo® 2008 exhibits is targeted—that is, exhibitors shipping their freight directly to the Las Vegas Convention Center must have it arrive on a pre-assigned date (or later). The sheer size of the show and large number of exhibitors necessitates a targeted move-in.

To determine your targeted move-in time, please review the targeted freight map. Shipments sent directly to the Las Vegas Convention Center may arrive either crated, skidded or pad wrapped. However, any shipment that arrives prior to your assigned targeted move-in date will not be received. So be sure to schedule your direct shipments accordingly.

The other option is to ship your materials (crated display materials only) to the GES warehouse. But keep in mind that drayage rates are slightly higher when shipping to the warehouse. (Click here to see rates for direct vs. warehouse shipments.) The benefit of shipping to the warehouse may be worth the nominal increase in handling fees:

  • Storage of materials for up to 30 days prior to the show
  • Delivery of shipments to your booth by 8 a.m. on your first day of move-in (schedule permitting)
  • Saves valuable set-up time

For additional information about advance shipments to the warehouse and direct shipments to the Las Vegas Convention Center, please read Material Handling Information. To request a change in your targeted move-in time, contact minexposervice@ges.com.
