Click on the links below to see the full article. Registrations Are Strong; MINExpo® 2008 Could Be Largest EverPre-registrations to attend MINExpo® are pouring in. As of the date this article was posted, 53 percent more attendees had pre-registered for this year’s show compared to the 2004 show at a comparable time. Customized registration lists are available by contacting CompuSystems, the MINExpo registration company. Make Sure You Hit Your Shipping Target for MINExpo® Move-InThe sheer size of MINExpo® and the large number of exhibitors require that we have a targeted move-in—that is, exhibitors shipping their freight directly to the Las Vegas Convention Center must have it arrive on a pre-assigned date (or later). [ more ] Outdoor Exhibitors Should Avoid Certain Kinds of StructuresIf you are an outdoor (Blue Lot) exhibitor at MINExpo®, show management strongly advises against the use of temporary buildings—i.e., structures with a hard perimeter wall or two-story structures—which require very strict fire code compliance and, in some cases, may result in additional costs for engineering, built-in sprinklers and the hiring of a fire guard. [ more ] Security a Shared Responsibility Between Exhibitors and MINExpo®At MINExpo® 2008, security is a shared responsibility between exhibitors and show management. MINExpo will provide security at entrance and exit doors and will have security people roving through the exhibit areas and meeting rooms. These security officers will be uniformed and easily identifiable.
